NHA ISSUES STATEMENT ON NOVA KAKHOVKA HYDROPOWER DAM IN SOUTHERN UKRAINE
Washington, D.C. (June 6, 2023) – In response to the damage caused to the Nova Kakhovka dam located in southern Ukraine, Malcolm Woolf, President and CEO of the National Hydropower Association, issued the following statement:
“While many details surrounding this incident remain unknown, the U.S. hydropower community extends its heartfelt sympathies to those impacted by this tragic event. Our collective thoughts are with them, as well as those tirelessly involved in the recovery and mitigation efforts.”
