The National Hydropower Association (NHA) is pleased to announce Inna Braverman, CEO of Eco Wave Power, will address attendees as part of NHA’s Waterpower Week in Washington D.C., which runs from March 13 – 15, 2024.
Inna Braverman’s connection to clean power comes from a personal place, as she was born two weeks before the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and suffered respiratory arrest due to the pollution in the region. Luckily, her mother, a nurse, performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation in time, which saved her life. With this second chance, Braverman decided to devote herself to the development of a clean and safe method of electricity production.
Eco Wave Power, founded in Israel in 2011, has found success with its unique floater system, which adapts to onshore and nearshore environments. The floaters are hooked up to existing manmade structures, respond to the movement of the waves, and retract during stormy conditions, allowing for versatile installation while reducing potential damage caused by intense ocean weather.

Since its founding, Eco Wave, and Braverman, have received over 14 honors, awards, and accolades for the company’s pioneering wave energy technology and Braverman’s leadership. Notably, Eco Wave Power was noted as Best Woman-Owned Renewable Energy Company in Israel by CV Magazine in 2016; Braverman was selected by Smithsonian Magazine as one of eight innovators with ingenious ideas for the future of energy in 2016; Wired Magazine featured Braverman in 2017 for her accomplishments and contributions in the field of wave energy; CNN selected Braverman in 2018 as “Tomorrow’s Hero,” for her contributions to wave energy; Eco Wave Power received the United Nation’s Global Climate Action Award in 2019.
In 2021, Eco Wave Power was led by Braverman to the company’s IPO on Nasdaq Capital Market, and in 2022, the company established a pilot at AltaSea’s campus at the Port of Los Angeles, where its 100-kW project has been grid-connected.
In 2023, Eco Wave Power made history when its power station was officially connected to the Israeli national electrical grid, marking the first time in the history of Israel that electricity produced by the power of the waves was sent to the national electrical grid of the country. Additionally, the company holds concession agreements for commercial installations in Europe and has a total projects pipeline of 404.7 MW.
